A Gift from the Universe [double meaning]

After drawing, painting and printing the Green field & blue Sky, my next step was – to create the same atmosphere of joy and feelings, in minimalistic lines and colours.

The inspiration to create the works came looking at the beautiful wild poppies, that grow on the side road in my neighbourhood. (Brouce Grove, London)

I wanted to create a minimalist print with ONE plain colour, as the background. That meat long printing hours. And….. then, suddenly I found a few sheets of A2, left overs by one of the printers – – it was a print of – ONE colour background! What a joy! I got a Gift from the Universe, on the eve of the New Year, (Hebrew) 🙂 and of course the poppies themself are — a Gift from the Universe.
